Pierre BERTRAND
Composer, arranger, conductor, saxophonist, flutist, teacher and lecturer. Victoire du jazz 2005 and 2017, Django d'Or 2005. Active member of the French jazz scene since 1999, he has collaborated with many international artists. Founder of the Caja Negra in 2009 and of the European Jazz Companions Program in 2021, he is today a prolific artist always on the move and creative.
European Jazz Companions
Program founded in 2021 by Pierre Bertrand which immerses each year young professional musicians from European universities in a process of creation, rehearsal and touring in a large jazz ensemble. Musicians among the best big band experts coach the young artists and play with them throughout the process. The program collaborates with several major European festivals: Classical Beat, Nue Jazz, Marseille Jazz des 5 Continents
